About the company:

The house-museum of G.V. Chicherin was opened on December 12, 1987. It is located in the former manor house of the city estate of the retired Russian diplomat V.N. Chicherin (father of G.V. Chicherin). One-storey house with mezzanine imitates stone architecture in the tree of the I half of the XIX century. Here passed the childhood years (from 1877 to 1886) of Georgy Vasilyevich Chicherin, a famous domestic diplomat, People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the RSFSR and the USSR in 1918-1930, historian, publicist, musician and musicologist. In this house in the 70-80-ies of the XIX century. was his uncle, an outstanding scientist and public figure Boris Nikolaevich Chicherin.

The exposition is distinguished by a strict scientific approach in showing the material and the surprisingly finely conveyed atmosphere of the Chicherin house. Harmoniously blended into the memorial mansion, the exposition introduces visitors to the life and work of G.V. Chicherin (1872-1936), based on authentic photographs, letters, official documents, memorial corners. Recreated interiors that help to understand the characters of the people who lived in this house. In the mezzanine there are memorial children's rooms - the rooms of George, Nicholas and Sophia.
