The Inzhavin Museum of Local Lore was created with folk funds in the 70s of the last century. Local historians of the Inzhavinsky district appealed to the population with a request to collect local history material and create a regional museum in the river p. Injavino. The leadership of the district supported this idea. On October 20, 1984, the museum was opened, the first excursions for residents of the district were held. In 1988, by a decree of the Government of the RSFSR, the museum was awarded the title of “people’s”.
The museum has five rooms:
- Homeland Nature Hall.
- Historical and ethnographic hall.
- Hall of military glory (Civil, Great Patriotic War, local wars).
- Hall of History of Culture, Education and Health.
- Showroom.
Personal exhibitions are held on a permanent basis, where you can learn about honorary citizens of the village.
Now in the vaults of the museum there is an exhibition of folk instruments. Nowadays, the museum funds are no longer replenished as actively as they were before. The locals do not want to transfer family relics to the museum for nothing. With the funds allocated by the district administration, Chernava old-timers bought folk costumes of the early twentieth century.
The special pride of the museum is the collection, which includes authentic items of the XIX century, previously belonging to the nobles of the Dokhturovs. These values went to the museum as a gift from Dokhturova Vera Ivanovna, the wife of one of the descendants of the famous commander Dokhturov Dmitry Sergeyevich.
In addition, the museum has a collection of works of art, the authors of which have become professionals in their field - modern artists. This was facilitated by an event five years ago. Then a meeting of artists took place in the area, to the anniversary date of Mstislav Dobuzhinsky. For 10 days, the artists who came from 18 regions transferred the most beautiful places of Krivoluchya and Karandeevka to the canvases, as well as luxurious views from the Barskaya mountain.
