Sect of witnesses of maids (Borzyni-Gornitsa)

Once read article shook the foundations of my universe. An unknown correspondent took people unknown to me to rooms unknown to me to show the crumbling creation of the unforgettable N. A. Lvov. And in the sect of Witnesses, the Maids became 8 more people. And me? Why am I not in this cult?

The reason is ridiculous - far away. How far? From Tver to Kuvshinovo - 100 km, from Kuvshinov to Borzyn - 30 and from Borzyn - eight more. Plus 3km on foot. What's this about? But there is a crossing over the Poveda, maybe the bridge was demolished long ago.

The word "House" was always in my head. The village is dead and the church is alive. The immortal creation of the unforgettable Lviv. Survives It is a lie that creations are immortal. There would have been some shaman, would have gone quietly to Moscow, whispered on Red Square the cherished words - basilica. exedra national treasure Kremlin Putin...

And the earth would tremble at a voice from heaven:

And the forest would tremble from helicopters carrying building materials; from bulldozers paving the road bypassing Catherine’s pavement; from cranes leading bridges to Povedy. It is a pity that I am not a magical shaman.

The crazy idea to immediately join the sect of Witnesses of the Maids was implemented to the insulting simple – sat down and went. We have seen with our own eyes that what the Maids say is true. It's true! And there's an impassable road rolled by loggers, which is actually an old road, always kept in order. And bear marks. And a long-dead village, where surrounded by unreachable linden stands an incredible church, an immortal creation of the unforgettable Lviv. Still immortal...

And anyone who wants to witness all of this can walk 3km down the mud and 3km back. To marvel at the Venetian windows, long lost glass, on the exedra, on the traces of frescoes and the remains of stucco cornices made of stone cardboard. And in addition, look at the Museum of Peasant Genealogy of the village of Borzyni, which occupies a 2-storey merchant mansion built 200 years ago. But this one, unlike the church in Maids, will stand for another 200 years.

The museum was gathered by patriotic residents of Borzyn. They took and assembled a museum about themselves, about their ancestors, about the merchants-founders, about the school, about the owner of the Gornitsa estate P.V. Beklemishev, who decided to build a church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. About the great architect Lviv...

And a wonderful curator of the museum, a grandfather named Vladimir Ivanovich, galloped ahead of us to Gornitsa. As he was in the galoshes, so he galloped through the impassable mud in them. Someone had to show the way. Maybe we didn't. There would have been two fewer witnesses. But if a bear were to bite us in the dark, it would be three fewer people. Grandpa didn't think about it.

After 2 weeks in the pouring rain, I led the Moscow photographer Andrei Vermishev, the Moscow journalist Lilya Gushchin, to Gornitsya, and I did not think about it either. In the Maid Witness Sect, there should be many people of different ages, genders, professions, faiths. For the maids are the axis uniting the human worlds.

It took quite a bit of time, and we realized that it was unwise to drive past Pryamukhino, where the Trinity Church built by Lviv stands. Where in the old park lives many stories about the owners of the estate. The Baconians deserve to be told. When we succeed, when we fail, a lot depends on the weather and the length of daylight.

Everything written above is real. So it's all seasonal. Rubber boots and waterproof jackets, skis or mosquito spray. And at the word ticks – do not flinch, because we go not just into the forest, but into a bear corner. Although, to be honest, the probability of seeing a tick is as in any suburban forest. Also about mushrooms, berries and fish in the river. You need to bring food with you. Tea is in thermoses.
