House-Museum of V.I. Lenin

Bashkortostan, Ufa, Dostoevsky St., 78

About the company:

The Lenin House Museum was opened on January 21, 1941. In May 1924, it was decided to perpetuate the places associated with Lenin. As throughout the country, the search for a house began in Ufa, where N. K. Krupskaya lived, where V. I. Lenin lived for 3 weeks and held a number of important meetings with the Ufa Social Democrats in the summer of 1900. The house has been reconstructed many times. The facade of the building was slightly modified, but it stands in the same place, on the same foundation, albeit somewhat in an updated appearance.

The house where V.I. Lenin and N.K. Krupskaya lived in 1900 is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. The situation was restored according to the memories of N. K. Krupskaya. The museum has valuable authentic exhibits (personal belongings of Nadezhda Konstantinovna). An expensive exhibit in the museum is the clock-walkers owned by N. K. Krupskaya. She passed them in 1938 through A.I. Krylov. Also, visitors can see interior and household items of the boundary of the XIX-XX centuries.

The main exposition of the museum is devoted to the stay of V.I. Lenin and N.K. Krupskaya in Ufa in 1900. The museum funds are replenished annually, today more than 7 thousand exhibits are listed in the funds. Since the opening of the Lenin House Museum, about 5 million people from more than 100 countries have visited.
