Description:

The tour begins on the Assumption Square, which is located in the city center. Then we go to the Uglich Kremlin (now a museum). For about an hour we walk there, I tell about the foundation of the city, about the death of Tsarevich Dimitri (the last son of Ivan the Terrible). In the Kremlin, we visit the current Transfiguration Cathedral (the main cathedral of the city) and the famous church-museum of Tsarevich Dimitri “on blood”. At the request of tourists, we climb to the bell tower of the Transfiguration Cathedral. Then we leave the Kremlin and go on a leisurely walk around the city, visit one or two operating monasteries.

Useful information

  • The tour is pedestrian, but we will not walk very much, since all objects are located quite close to each other.
