Rafting on the rivers Lahost - Kotorosl
Description:
The Lahost River is an ordinary plain picturesque river, which has a very winding channel. Sometimes the current in the river turns almost 180 degrees, and it seems that Lahost flows in the opposite direction. Near the mouth of Lahost spills in a wide floodplain and makes large meanders.
In ancient times, these territories were inhabited by Finno-Ugric tribes, from whose language the name of this river came. According to legends and chronicles, the name of the river from their language meant the aspen tree, allegedly an aspen forest grew in abundance here.
On the banks of the river there are equipped tourist parking and fishing delays. Usually rafted along Lahosti from late April to early June, then the river is very shallow, which makes it difficult to raft and wiring vessels.
