Bogorodskoye Manor
pos. Volodarsky, Leninsky district, Moscow region, Russian Federation
Description:
The Bogorodskoye estate, located on the territory of the Volodarsky village, belonged to the family of princes Golitsyn. It was founded in the XVII century and was a whole architectural complex consisting of wooden buildings - residential and economic, as well as a stone church. To this day, the manor house has been preserved, built at a later time - at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, when the estate passed to the industrialist E. E. Schlichterman. Also preserved are the ruins of service buildings, wing, fragments of an ancient park.
Initially, the name of the village was different - it was called Ladygino, it belonged to the boyar family of Sheremetev. In 1646, on the site of an old wooden church, a stone church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin was built. Later, the name of the church gave a new name to the village. The temple had two chapels - in the name of the Great Martyr Paraskeva Friday and Alexis, a man of God.
The main architectural pearl of the estate is the lord's house, built at the junction of the XIX-XX centuries in the Art Nouveau style. The building has two floors - a stone bottom and a wooden second floor. The decorative design of the first floor is very restrained, in contrast to the richly decorated wooden part of the building - here you will see both curtains and balcony fences, and expressive cornices, but the roof with tents and turrets is especially good.
