Tarychevo Manor

Moscow region, Leningrad district, Tarychevo village

Description:

In the old days, the once magnificent estate was owned by many noble people of Russia, who brought their invaluable contribution to the history and development of the estate today. After the Lviv steel owner Khitrovo - Tarychevo was given to the daughter of Prince Lviv, who married Bogdan Khitrovo, it was they who initiated the construction of a wooden church in the name of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin, the consecration of which led to the status of a village. Then the Golovkins, who were the owners of the village for almost 20 years (at the time of their ownership, the foundation of the Tarychevo estate and the construction of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin), Kozlov, Soimonov (at the time of their ownership, according to researchers, the very heyday of the estate fell). The last owners are Rastorguev, the head of the family made only minor additions to the already established estate ensemble in the form of a foundation in the village of a parish school, an arena for horse walking and a small stable.

At the beginning of the XIX century, the owners of the Soimonov estate, carried out a large-scale reconstruction of the estate, updating its picturesque appearance. A magnificent lime park was planted instead of the regular garden popular at the time, ponds, outbuildings and residential buildings were rebuilt in the style of classicism popular at the time.

It is impossible not to say a few words about the monument of church architecture on the lands of the Tarychevo estate - the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, erected, as already mentioned, during the possession of the estate by the count family of the Golovkins. The unique sample of Elizabethan Baroque built in 1765 belongs, according to experts, to a rare type of temples. It is said that the great Chaliapin sang here, because excellent acoustics are created in the temple. The tragic fate of many churches in the 1930s befell this creation. The temple was closed, partially destroyed, the most valuable ancient icons were burned. The Russian Orthodox Church was returned only in 1990. Until that moment it served as a decorating warehouse of the Gorky Film Studio. A little later, in 1992, restoration work was started. But, because of the lack of a roof, the masonry had an emergency condition, the temple was dried for 10 years.

It should be borne in mind that the temple has archival significance in the life of Tarychevo, since when the temple was lost, it began to be called and written as a village. Now that the former estate has found its spiritual landmark, there is hope to return Tarychevo to the status of the village.

Over time, after the revolution, which determined the fate of many values of Russia, the once picturesque estate, a magnificent monument of the suburban manor architecture, came, like most of them, into complete decline and desolation. Most of the buildings simply disappeared without a trace.
