House-Museum of General I.A. Pliev

May 7, 1985 in Vladikavkaz, in order to perpetuate the memory of Issa Alexandrovich Pliev (1903-1979) - twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Mongolian People's Republic, General of the Army, was opened Memorial House-Museum.

The house-museum of I.A. Pliev was included in the structure of the National Museum of RSO - Alania, is its branch. The basis of the exposition was personal letters, photographs, documents, awards and belongings of I.A. Pliev. The exposition acquaints the visitor with the life and combat path of Issa Alexandrovich, from a private to an army general. The theme of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and in particular the role of the commander of the 1st Cavalry Mechanized Group of Forces in the victory over fascism, is represented by unique exhibits and stock collections. In the space of the exhibition hall, a working room with a genuine interior was recreated.

Today, the I.A. Pliev Memorial House-Museum is one of the centers of military-patriotic education of the population and the organization of stationary and mobile exhibitions on military-historical topics both in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and in the North Caucasus region as a whole. Every year in the walls of the museum the oath of allegiance to the Motherland is given by recruits of the 58th Army.
