Suzdal in cinema
Description:
The Suzdal Cinematic Route will help you make a journey into the history of cinema.
The tour participants will see the filming sites and remember the famous directors Gleb Panfilov, Konstantin Voinov, Sergey Gerasimov, Mikhail Schweitzer, Andrei Tarkovsky, Pavel Lungin, Konstantin Bromberg and their creations: “Theme”, “Marriage Balzaminov”, “Youth of Peter”, “Dead Souls”, “Andrey Rublev”, “Tsar”, “Wizards”. You will also learn about films that, for various reasons, are unknown to the general audience. More than 80 films were shot in Suzdal: comedies, melodramas, fairy tales, detectives, criminal dramas, historical films.
How were the masterpieces created, what impressions were taken with the participants of the film crews, what memory of themselves they left with the local residents? What “exotic interest” connected Vladimir Basov with Suzdal, why did Sergei Nikonenko stop the “Seagull” of the high boss, what American filmmakers accused the “curemonious mafia”? A new excursion is not a boring set of names and dates, but a living history in the memories of the participants in the events.
You will also have a unique opportunity to see rare footage of the filming process - from the funds of the museum-reserve.
The new route will allow you to look at the ancient city from a new angle.
