Yalta Zoo "Fairy Tale" was established in 1995 by entrepreneur Oleg Zubkov and became the first private zoo in the CIS. During the existence of the zoo, more than 1 million people have visited it. Today in the "Fairy Tale" lives more than 120 species of animals brought from all continents of the globe. Many of the animals were injured and cared for by his employees. In recent years, the zoo has been buying animals under international contracts with the Association of European Zoos and Aquariums. The Yalta Zoo presents rare animals listed in the International Red Book: chimpanzees, white-breasted (Himalayan bear), ordinary otter, Amur and Sumatran tigers, leopards, black panther, cheetah. The collection of birds of the zoo contains such protected species as curly and pink pelicans, white-tailed eagle, bald sip and black neck. In the Yalta zoo regularly breed lions, bears, hamadryls. The offspring are brought by tigers, chimpanzees, camels and almost all formed pairs. Here you can see pelicans, squirrels, monkeys, Ussuri tigers, rabbits, Himalayan bears, peacocks, ostriches and many other animals and birds. Every animal in this zoo has a name written on a sign. Each of them can be photographed. On the territory of "Fairy Tales" music with sounds of wildlife is heard all the time. There are many souvenir shops, cafes and funny curved mirrors.
