Swallow's nest! The roar of waves crashing against the rocks, the cries of gulls, fresh sea breeze - you can not think of a better place to build a castle. The history of this corner of the southern coast begins 2,000 years ago, when there was a camp of Roman legionaries, and continued at the end of the last century, when a lady built a dacha for herself with a romantic name.
Let’s go to the Livadia Palace. Built of white Inkerman stone in the spirit of the Italian Renaissance, the palace is known both as the main Crimean residence of the imperial family and as the venue for the Yalta Conference in February 1945. This is where the fate of post-war Europe was decided. About these events, as well as about the life of the Romanovs here, at the beginning of the XX century, this wonderful place will tell us.
And at the end of our program, we will visit one of the most mysterious castles of the southern coast of Crimea - Massandra Palace of Alexander III.
French palace, high above the sea, surrounded by green mountains and vines. Centuries-old sequoias, fir and a pond with fountains surround a beautiful castle, richly decorated with decor, stucco and sculptures - mysterious griffins and cheerful satyrs, satellites of Dionysus.
If desired, you can change the program to exclude one of their objects, replacing it with the Vorontsov Palace and Park.
