Church of the Transfiguration in Nikitsky Botanical Garden

Description:

The Church of the Transfiguration was erected in the early 90s of the 19th century. The basis was the order of the former head of the Botanical Garden A.I. Bazarov in the village of Nikita, Yalta. The unique building housed a hospital, active, a priest’s apartment and a church. The landmark began to build on a wonderful date - September 19 in the celebration of the Annunciation.

In 1887, the temple was consecrated by Archimandrite Epiphanius. The building is a very beautiful one-nave basilica, which is approached by the lobby, where there is a staircase leading up to the church. On the first floor there is a hospital, to which the private rooms of the priest were attached.
