Description:

Alexander III Palace - the pearl of Yalta - is located in the village of Massandra, hence its second name Massandra Palace.

This fabulous castle in the mountains, surrounded by forest, has a slightly sad history. At the time of construction, the architect E. Bouchard died, who was invited to restore the Barsky House by S.M. Vorontsov.

Before the completion of construction, the customer also suddenly died Count S.M. Vorontsov. Subsequently (1889), this house was purchased for Tsar Alexander III, and it began to be called the Palace of Alexander III in Yalta.

The palace is based on a type of Renaissance castle, Gothic motifs. Ornate attics, various towers in height, roofs with a pointed top give the Palace romance and picturesqueness.

Broken before the construction of Bouchard roses with four thousand roses, nurseries and parks give romanticism to the pre-palace square.

Alexander III Palace is located in Massandra, Simferopol highway, house 13.
