The Little Mermaid Beach
Description:
Among the very numerous beaches of Miskhor, the city beach "Mermaid" stands out. Such a romantic name it received thanks to the sculpture “Mermaid on the Stone” installed near the shore by the famous Estonian sculptor Amandus Adamson.
The sculpture appeared here not by chance – it is an illustration of one of the Crimean legends about an unfortunate girl who was separated from her beloved and threw herself into the sea. Turning into a mermaid, she comes out of the water at night off the coast of her native Miskhor. The Mermaid is relatively close to the shore, you can swim to it to see it up close.
The embankment of the beach is separated from the carriageway by a very steep slope with a beautiful park. The air in it is full of smells of needles and flowers.
The length of this beach is small, it is covered with small pebbles, on both sides it is limited by concrete buns. The water here is always clean and very warm. The beach is fully equipped: changing rooms, sunbeds, sun loungers. Nearby there is a pier for boats: you can take a walk on the sea, or you can walk to Yalta. From the coastline there is a beautiful view of Ai-Petri.
Entrance to the beach is free.
