FROM SEVASTOPOL ALONG THE SOUTHERN COAST OF CRIMEA TO YALTA
Description:
Sevastopol – Laspin Pass – Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Foros – Palace and Park of Count Vorontsov in Alupka – observation deck overlooking “Swallow’s Nest” – Livadia Palace – Yalta – Sevastopol
Duration of the tour - about 9 hours
It is probably unnecessary to talk about all the places included in this trip. I will say only one thing – it will be a day filled with the beauty of the mountains, coniferous aromas, and the infinity of the sea, which on the South coast seems quite different.
We will take a trip along the most beautiful road of our sunny peninsula, on which once the royal families went to their summer estates. We will stop at the very beginning of the South Coast - on the Laspi mountain pass; we will be surprised by the Foros church, sheltered on the edge of a sheer cliff at an altitude of 400 meters; we will admire the tiny "Swallow's Nest".
The Crimean pages of the life of Nicholas II and his family will be revealed by the Livadia Palace. In February 1945, it was here that the Crimean Conference of the Heads of Government of the USSR, the USA and Great Britain took place, which decided the fate of post-war Europe.
And the palace of Count Vorontsov in Alupka will undoubtedly captivate you with amazing architecture, a unique park, and the fate of its owner.
Do you want to be on the Yalta waterfront? Please! This Crimean fashionista will always be glad to see you! And he will prove that there is indeed magnolia in your nose, then wisteria in your eye.
It is also possible to travel along the South Coast:
- visit the Yusupov Palace and park in Koreiz (we agree with him at least the day before - this place is slightly capricious in terms of sightseeing, but very unusual with its aura)
- to visit Anton Pavlovich Chekhov in his Memorial House-Museum in Yalta (here the writer spent the last years of his life)
- Taste the sweet and strong vintage wines of the famous “Massandra”
- Walk through the Nikitsky Botanical Garden
