București

Tour of Bucharest

Description:

A tour of the capital of Romania can be carried out by car and on foot, or completely make a pedestrian, depending on the desire of tourists. In any case, I always advise tourists, if possible, to walk as much as possible around the city, in order to really feel "what lives and breathes" the city.

And Bucharest is a city for walking, especially the historical center where there are pedestrian medieval streets Stavropoleos, Lipscani, Francesa or picturesque green boulevards of the northern part of Bucharest, like Kiselev Boulevard, Aviatorilor, Herestrau Park.

Bucharest is called the city of contrasts, here a mixture of architectural styles, the medieval Romanian style of Brynkovenesk, monumental beautiful houses in the French neoclassical style, styles of the German or Viennese Renaissance, oriental styles as well as of course socialism and modern glass facades. Lovers of architecture Bucharest will not leave indifferent. Sometimes you can be simply amazed by the beauty of a mansion of the 19th century and very soon the feelings will change, seeing a concrete gray “box”.

What we will see during our tour of Bucharest:

- in the northern part of the city, Park Herestreu, interesting open-air Museum of the Village, Triumphal Arch, Boulevard Aviatorilor

Victoria Square, Cal Victoria Boulevard, Revolution Square (optional, visit to Athenaeus)

University Square, Unification Square, Old Town

Visit the Palace of Parliament (the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon)

Lascar Catargiu Boulevard, dotted with beautiful mansions of the late 19th century - early 20th century

- if desired, a walk in the Central Park of Chishmigiu
