Chuck-chuck

Description:

"Delicious heritage" of the Volga Bulgars - ancestors of the Kazan Tatars.

The most popular gift from Kazan. A dish that is necessarily present on the festive Tatar table. Chuck-chuck is a dessert made from small pieces of dough fried in butter and poured with honey. And the word Chuck means "little."

There is a version that the dish received its name in honor of the female good spirit of love and the family hearth of Alp-Chakchak in those distant times when the ancestors of the Tatars were pagans.

One way or another, for many centuries, no wedding or holiday is complete without this delicacy.

Come to Kazan and try the real Tatar chak-chak!
