Tanzania - Safari in Tarangire Parks and Ngorongoro Crater. 2 days / 1 night.
Description:
Safari in Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater. 2 days/1 night.
During this tour, we will visit the “kingdom of elephants and baobabs”, see prides of lions, antelopes of various species, zebras, giraffes, primates and many species of birds near the Tarangire River, as well as a collapsed volcano teeming with predators and their victims in the Ngorongoro Reserve.
Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire Park - Karatu.
We meet in Arusha and go to Tarangire National Park. The park, with its savannas, swamps flooded during the rainy season, and baobabs, is known for its numerous herds of elephants. Arriving in the park, we will have lunch in the format of a picnic right in the fresh air.
During the dry seasons, the Tarangire River, being one of the main sources of water in the area, attracts various animals. These are colorful forest antelopes, and bubalas (cow antelopes) and giraffes from the Tarangire Park itself, as well as from the neighboring Lake Manyara National Park.
After a fruitful photo hunt, we will go to the lodge, where we will have a hot dinner and a soft bed.
Lunch; dinner.
Day 2. Karatu is Ngorongoro Park.
After a luxurious breakfast prepared for us by a brilliant chef, we will head to the Ngorongoro Crater. It is the largest intact volcanic crater in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its width is 18 km, and its depth is 600 m.
The crater forms a habitat for thousands of mammals. While here, we will have the opportunity to see a huge variety of animals in a relatively short time, including the “big five”: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard.
Among other animals, we will meet hyenas and large herds of zebras, antelope canna and wildebeest. We will have a picnic lunch right in the crater and continue the photo hunt after a short break. A little later, we will drive up the steep slopes of the crater and move back to the city of Arusha, where we will arrive in the early evening.
On the way, we will make a stop in the settlement of the Maasai tribe - one of the most colorful African peoples, who have preserved their identity to this day. We will get acquainted with their culture, way of life and customs, listen to songs and participate in dances.
