Description:

Climbing Kilimanjaro along the Marangu route is one of the most popular choices. This route is quite long (68 km), allowing smooth acclimatization. Coupled with comfortable accommodation in houses, this makes it the most suitable for those who do not have experience in high-altitude climbing.

  • Climb the real "Roof of Africa", the highest point of the African continent
  • The easiest climb from the project “Seven peaks of the world”
  • Smooth acclimatization, which will allow you to rise without headache and malaise
  • Guides with experience of 8000 meters - your safety guarantee
  • Comfortable accommodation in the houses during the climb
  • Delicious and varied food throughout the route
  • Hotel 5* before and after climbing, where you can relax in SPA
  • Opportunity to reward yourself with safari in Tanzania’s best parks after climbing

Day 1. Meeting at Arusha Airport in Tanzania and transfer to a hotel in Moshi. If you arrive at the airport of Nairobi in Kenya, you need an independent bus transfer (local transport) to the city of Arusha or immediately to the city of Moshi to the hotel (if necessary, we will help you book an individual transfer of Nairobi-Moshi). The total time to move from Nairobi is about 5 hours. The group arrived at the scene is met by our representative. Accommodation in a 3* hotel with facilities in the city of Moshi, dinner. The group is instructed on the upcoming climb, prepares the necessary equipment. Night at the hotel.

Day 2. Transfer to the Marangu Gate (the starting point of the trail is at an altitude of 1980 m). The group passes all the necessary equipment, distributes the necessary equipment and personal cargo (should not be heavier than 20 kg) to porters. We move out and follow to Mandar Hat, a camp located at an altitude of 2700 m. The length of the road is 12 km and takes 5 hours, during which we will be able to observe the picturesque tropical forest passing along the gently ridge. There is also another trail here. It can be reached by turning to the left immediately after entering the reserved place. This trail goes along the flow of the river and after 1.5 hours it again leads to the main path. The stop point is the Mandar camp, accommodation in wooden huts.

Day 3. The way to Horombo Hat camp (ascent to an altitude of 3720 m). The 15 km journey takes about 6 hours. The trail leads through the mysterious thickness of the forest, around the Maundi crater. It is here that you can see the Kibo crater, the ascent to which is the intended goal of the peak conquerors. Further, the trail goes through alpine meadows of amazing beauty, on which grow huge lobelia and crossbows, their height reaches as much as 6 meters! The stop point is the Horombo camp, accommodation in wooden huts.

Day 4. The day is set aside for acclimatization. This helps to avoid mountain sickness or reduce its manifestations. It is recommended to make a small four-hour route: overcoming the Zebra cliffs – reaching the Mawenzi camp and descending back to Horombo. Accommodation in wooden huts.

Day 5. The way to the Kibo Hat camp (ascent to an altitude of 4700 m). The 15 km journey takes about 6 hours. On the way we will be accompanied by alpine semi-desert and rocky terrain. From the Mawenzi camp, which meets on the way to the Kibo camp, an additional trail departs, which is an order of magnitude lighter and shorter by one hour. It will certainly be interested in climbers who have already learned the standard path on the day of acclimatization the previous day. The stop point is Camp Kibo. Rest before the assault until midnight. Accommodation in wooden huts.

Day 6. Climbing Kilimanjaro. The assault time varies about 5-7 hours. We already meet the dawn, being at the highest point of Africa - Uhuro Peak. The altitude above sea level is 5895 m. Those who wish can descend into the crater for 100 meters, walk through the glaciers. Then we go back down to Kibo Hut camp, we gather camp. Continues 5-6 hours down to the camp Horombo Hat (descent to an altitude of 3720 m). The stop point is the Horombo Hut tent camp, accommodation in wooden huts.

Day 7. We descend to the finish of our climbing path – Marangu Gate (height 1980 m). The 27 km journey takes about 6 hours. The trail leads us past the Mandara camp, which is replaced by a tropical beautiful forest. At the end of their journey, the group members who reached the summit receive a certificate indicating the fact of climbing one of the highest points in Africa. Certificates are issued in two types: gold – for the conquerors of Uhuro Peak, and green – for those who were able to reach Gilman Peak. Then we say goodbye to the staff. It is a good way to tip them. We move to a 3* hotel with amenities - the city of Moshi. The rest of the time is devoted to rest. Hotel accommodation.

Day 8. Airport transfer. Departure.
