Thailand in June. EUROSTAR JOMTIEN BEACH HOTEL & SPA 3* Tourist review 2
Description:
Weather in Thailand in June
We went on a trip to Thailand to Pattaya in June 2013. Many people are afraid to go there at this time, because they know that it is rainy season. During our stay, the weather in Thailand in June was chic. It rained almost every night, a couple of times it rained during the day, but it was quite short-lived. The air temperature is +33 - 35C, water + 27 (guides, it seems, talked about this figure).
tour firm
Vouchers were bought through the travel agency “Oleana” (Oliana) in Yekaterinburg. There is a very good girl Marina Baratova who worked on our tour and helped us in choosing a hotel. Choosing from 5-7 hotels, Marina advised to stay at EUROSTAR JOMTIEN BEACH HOTEL & SPA 3*. The cost turned out to be very pleasant for us, for 12 days of stay in Thailand only 23,500 rubles. per person, we went together with a girlfriend. It seemed very interesting that in July the price of our hotel increased to 39,000 rubles per person. I think we bought the tickets very well and had a great rest!
Eurostar Jomitien Beach Hotel & Spa 3 *
When we went to the hotel, we thought that they would settle us in an ordinary treshka, but when we arrived at the place, we were pleasantly surprised: a beautiful, cozy, clean hotel (it turned out that it was not 3 *, but 4 *) and a very good room!
As for the location of the hotel, it is, in my opinion, the most successful - R-on JOMTIEN (lively and at the same time quiet). Here you can sit right next to the hotel on a tuk-tuk and after 7-10 minutes. be in the center, there are no problems with transport! Everything is within walking distance: cafes, restaurants, the beach (across the road), many travel companies, salons, shops. Daily cleaning in the room, change of bed linen (clean only when you are not at home, everything is clean, high-quality and fast). Towels 3 pcs. per person, soap, shampoo, shower gel, cotton swabs, shower cap - all give out every day. This hotel is suitable for both young people and older people.
Excursions
All the excursions we visited, I could not fit in one article, so I wrote about each separately and here I give links to them.
- Excursion to the River Kwai
- Excursion to Bangkok
- Discovery Program (Khao Kheo, Tiger Zoo)
Also on the second day we went on a sightseeing tour of Pattaya from the tour operator Pegasus Touristik.
This is how it was recorded on the tour operator
At 9:00 we were picked up from the hotel and returned at about 18:00. The program is built in such a way that first you visit a medical institution, a latex and jewelry factory, where you are offered at inflated prices to purchase goods, and then taken to the observation deck and the temple of the Buddha. This tour is free and can be taken if desired. You need to go, here you will be given some useful information about the country.
Entertainment programmes
Alcazar
This is a show of transvestites, which is very popular with tourists. Many people who have been to Thailand have probably visited it. Yes, the spectacle is interesting! Sitting in the room, you can’t imagine that all these beautiful and elegant people are men. This is a show where there are no women! The show is held twice a day at 18.00 and 21.30.
How much does it cost?
The cost of tickets at the box office, where the show takes place, is 600 baht for ordinary and 800 for VIP seats. As it turned out, it is cheaper to buy through a local travel agency - 500 baht for ordinary places (we were not offered VIP seats, but most likely the price will be 700 baht). If you order with a tranfer, then another 150 batts will be added to the ticket price. If you’re not in Thailand for the first time, don’t be afraid to go your own way.
How to get there:
From Jomtien you can take a tuk-tuk for 10 baht and drive directly to the Alcazar building. I marked our path on a map.
X-Show or Shaw 69 in Pattaya
I heard a lot of opinions about this show from friends, but decided to see it with my own eyes. As usual, we bought tickets with a tranfer through our favorite local travel agency - for 500 baht - and went to watch an indecent show.
At 19.00 a minibus came to the hotel and by 20.00 we were already there. At the entrance, all mobile phones and cameras are taken away so that photos and videos do not appear on the network. And now, looking for photos on the Internet, I found nothing, apparently no one managed to capture this action.
Of course, the “Sex Show” did not make a special impression on us, but we did not regret going there. For 500 baht, you won't get that anywhere. In this article, of course, I will not describe everything that the Thais did on stage (playing the drum and piano with its dignity is the smallest of what I saw), but I will say that it is worth a visit!
Ko Lan Island How to Get From Pattaya
We always went to the island of Ko-Lan. The road takes a lot of time, but it is better to swim in clean and clear water than in the city among garbage.
From the Jomtien area we traveled as follows:
We sat on a tuk-tuk for 10 baht, reached the stop Volkin Street (Walking Street).
Then we walked to the pier on the very street of Walking Street, the pier is at the very end of the street. They boarded a 30 baht ferry to Tawaen Beach and sailed 40 minutes by ferry. It is full of Russian tourists, they will easily tell you the way.
Attention! When you walk along the pier, young people will run up to you and offer to buy ferry tickets for 150 baht. It's just a hoax! Go straight to the ferry and buy tickets for 30 baht right at the entrance to the ferry. 30 baht one way.
Ferry schedule:
There is a ferry from Pattaya to the island every hour. In time you will not get confused, everything is simple: 10.00, 11.00, 12.00 ... and also from the island of Ko-Lan: 15.00, 16.00 and 17.00. The last ferry leaves the island at 17:00.
If you calculate, it takes only 80 baht to get to Koh Lang.
Food in Thailand
In restaurants for tourists, prices are about the same as in Russia (if you take an ordinary cafe). 100-180 baht salads. Soups for 100-150 batts. Three times from 250 to ...
I would like to focus on the places where the Thais eat. These are places where food is cooked right in front of you.
Prices are 3-4 times lower, and the food is very tasty. The menu is written in Russian, but the dish "Vasily, Vasily fried eggs were kept clear" is not enough for you, so the Thais attached pictures to it. It is very fun to read Google translation of Thai dishes into Russian.
For lovers of “exotic cuisine”: in Thailand you can try bugs, cockroaches, frogs of larvae...
Anyone with nerves is fine is worth a try. It tastes good.
Going to Thailand in June is definitely worth it! Don’t be intimidated by stories about the rainy season, they’re there mostly at night! At this time, nature is transformed, everything blooming, green, joyful. In order not to be unfounded, I give as proof a photo from the trip of my friend and my photos taken in the same place (climb to the observation deck of Pattaya), only at different times.
Have a good holiday in Thailand!
Oh, I forgot to post the main pictures from Walking Street. Be sure to go there tonight!
