Description:

The mountain with an unusual name Goyintanon is located in the province of Chiang Mai in Thailand.

It was named after the ruler of the Lanna Kingdom. His remains are believed to have been buried here.

It was formerly called Doyluang, but was later renamed.

In the 1960s, a national park was created on the territory of Doyluang Mountain to preserve the natural world. Its area is about 500 km2.

In honor of the sixtieth anniversary of the king, and later the queen, two temples were built on the slopes of the mountain.

The top of Mount Doyintanon can be reached by means of the highway, which is located in the middle of the waterfalls. This can be done in your car. Very high mountains and solid serpentine, so on a bike is undesirable.

Also in the province you can buy a group or individual excursion to the park.

Another option is by bus from Chiang Mai to Chom Tong. About an hour or two on the way.
