Description:
Wat Shet Yot Temple is a famous Buddhist temple and a pilgrimage site for those born in the year of the Snake.
The temple was built in 1453 and named after its seven spires. During its construction, the building was influenced by a number of styles - Thai, Lao, Indian and Chinese, which led to a unique and at the same time elegant appearance.
The rectangular bases of the pagodas are decorated with bas-reliefs, which are considered masterpieces of art of the ancient Lanna state. The interior of the temple includes a vaulted corridor leading to the Buddha statue. On both sides of the statue, narrow stairs lead to the roof, which can only be climbed by men.
The exterior facade of the building is marked by images of divine beings who have undergone significant destruction over time.
