Doi Intanon National Park
Description:
Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand and perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the country. Here formed the national park of the same name, the territory of which is covered with tropical rain forests. The park is famous for its caves and amazing waterfalls, and, of course, for its wildlife. Due to the excellent climate, this place has become a favorite among the feathered inhabitants of Thailand: about 380 species of birds live here.
But the pearl of the park is the top of Doi Inthanon Mountain. There are two stupas opposite each other: the King's Stupa and the Queen's Stupa, installed in 1987 (in honor of the King's 60th birthday) and in 1992 (in honor of the Queen's 60th birthday). Entrance is free, but you need to remember that it is forbidden to enter here in shoes, so it is not superfluous to take warm socks with you - very cold floors in the stupas. And around there are delightful gardens, slabs with images of Buddha and terracotta reliefs. From here, an amazing view of the park opens from the height.
