Wat Tham Suea Buddhist Tiger Monastery
Tambon Muang Chum, Chang Wat Kanchanaburi 71110, Thailand
Description:
Wat Tham Suea Tiger Monastery is one of Thailand’s most beautiful and famous attractions.
The temple is located five kilometers from Krabi and is practically isolated from the outside world. However, this does not prevent tourists from coming to this unusual place from year to year. In order to get to Wat Tham Suea, you need to climb the high stairs. In the near future, it is planned to create a lift to the top of the hill, where the temple is located.
Wat Tham Suea Monastery got its name from a nearby mountain resembling a tiger’s claw. The walls of the cave are decorated with ancient drawings depicting human organs. On the territory of the Buddhist temple you can buy medicines and souvenirs, and near the entrance to the monastery there is a restaurant serving Thai cuisine.
