Prasat Muang Sing Historic Park
Description:
Prasat Muang Singh Historic Park is a beautiful architectural complex consisting of a military outpost and a Khmer temple.
The park is located 45 kilometers from the city of Kanchanaburi and was built during the prosperity of Lopburi, who lived in 1157-1207. The construction of Prasat Muang Sing Historical Park testifies to a powerful period in the formation of the Khmer state. In 1987 Prasat Muang was declared a National Historic Park.
Within the park there are monuments and an exhibition hall showing various Buddhist fragments of murals found in the ancient city. The historical park is one of the five important Khmer complexes located in Thailand.
