Wooden Mon Bridge
Description:
Wooden Mont Bridge is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand.
The bridge in Kanchanaburi stretches for almost a kilometer, its length is 850 meters. It was originally built for the convenience of the villagers of Mon and Sanghlaburi. Since the wooden structure is not particularly durable, road traffic on the bridge stopped. But for pedestrians, it is still accessible and is a very popular tourist attraction.
Wooden Mont Bridge is a very convenient platform for contemplating sunsets or sunrises. Some people use it as a diving tower.
In the summer of 2012, the bridge was damaged by heavy rainfall.
