Tiger temple
Description:
The Tiger Temple or Wat Pa Luangta Bua Janasampanno Monastery is one of the most popular places among tourists in Thailand. The Tiger Temple is not just a beautiful name. It is the tigers that live here that the visitors loved this place so much.
The temple was born thanks to a Thai family who gave the revered Buddhist preacher a piece of land where the famous monastery is now located. It soon became known as a haven for wild animals who needed help. Since the places of the Thai province of Kanchanaburi are inhabited by a large number of tigers, poachers often come here for expensive prey. The tigers of the killed animals began to be given to the temple, where monks began to take care of them.
Today, many tourists come here to take pictures with delightful animals, scratch their tummy or stroke their back. For a fee, you can take a picture with a tiger on his lap. There is no need to fear this: for the entire existence of the temple, there has not been a single case of predators attacking visitors or monks.
