Erawan Falls

Erawan National Park, Kanchanaburi, Thailand

Description:

Erawan Falls is a landmark of Erawan National Park.

It is divided into seven levels of water fall, the length of which is more than 1500 meters. The waterfall has a beautiful emerald hue of water, and the area is surrounded by a tropical forest, where you can see varieties of wild orchids and rare species of trees. In order to reach the waterfall, you need to follow the trail leading to the sixth level of Erawan waterfall, from where, climbing the cliff, you can get to the seventh level.

The ascent to the rock is heavy, but the sight of water falling from a great height, forming ponds for swimming, is worth all the effort. The waterfall Erawan got its name because of its similarity with a three-headed elephant named Erawan, which existed in Hindu mythology.
