Phu Pha Maan National Park
Khon Kaen Province, Khonken, Thailand
Description:
The main natural attraction of Phu Pha Maan National Park is the towering limestone cliffs that look like a huge curtain. Lush jungle and mixed forest almost all year round create a coolness here.
Also in the park there is such an interesting attraction as the cave Tham KlangKhao. The entrance to it is located 100 meters above ground level. Inside is the habitat of millions of bats. Every day, around 6pm, bats leave the cave for 30-45 minutes, creating a long "caravan."
Nearby is the Tham Phra Cave, which has a natural rugged tunnel. Inside formed beautiful stalagmites, stalactites and large stone pillars. There are many other caves in the park, including with ancient rock paintings.
Namtok Tat Fa falls are best visited during the rainy season - from late May to early October. Namtok Tat Yai is the highest waterfall in the park. And about Namtok Tat Rong there is a legend that the waterfall “sings” when the water runs over thin stones and falls into various holes. You can see other equally interesting waterfalls here.
