Ko Jum Island
Between Ko Lanta and Krabi, Thailand
Description:
Koh Jum is a small quiet island in Thailand, located near Krabi province. The northern part of the island is covered with jungle thickets, in the southern part there are rubber plantations and shrubs. On the west coast of the island are bungalows overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Hard to believe, but there are still no noisy bars, discos, nightclubs. Surprisingly, electricity only appeared in 2008. This is a wonderful place for lovers of solitude, for those who are tired of the benefits of civilization and want to spend a vacation away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. There are practically no cars on the island, people use bicycles, motorcycles or walk. One of the most popular entertainments is fishing. You can also hire a boat, grab snorkeling gear and go explore the sea depths of Pi Pi Pi Island.
On the island there are several dozen inexpensive hotels that offer tourists cheap bungalows with almost no amenities. These bungalows are more like straw houses, so lovers of five-star hotels are unlikely to appreciate such a cheap, but completely unsightly housing. For the money you ask for houses, you will be offered only a fan and a bed. The rest will be on the street. More comfortable bungalows with all conditions will cost an order of magnitude higher.
In addition to the fact that the island is famous for its low prices, it is also notable for its beaches, beautiful sunsets, proximity to neighboring islands.
Koh Jum is a great place for those who want to improve their health, distract from worries, allow themselves to be alone with themselves.
