The magnificent Prang Sam Yot temple in Lopburi is located opposite San Phra Cann. The building was built in the classic Khmer style. At first the temple was Hindu, today it is the sanctuary of Buddhism.
Its three towers were a symbol of the trimurti of Hinduism: Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. Today, two of them contain dilapidated, Lopburis-style statues of Buddha. Here you can also see the remains of the Khmer period.
The territory of the temple is small, it is surrounded by modern buildings and chosen by local monkeys. Beautiful views of the towers, spectacularly illuminated at night, open from the nearby Muang Thong Hotel.
