Boxing Stadium in Patong
2/59 Sai Nam Yen Road, Patong, Thailand
Description:
Patong Boxing Stadium is the largest Thai boxing stadium in southern Thailand. The stadium is a large modern rectangular building. The building has original design. The first floor resembles a cave with a pile of stones and columns. Underneath this pile is a bar. On top of the stones, or rather on their imitation, there are six sculptures of Muay Thai fighters and sculptures of a lion and a tiger, probably symbolizing the rage and uncompromisingness of boxing fights.
Inside the stadium there is a boxing ring and bunk spectators stands. Muay Thai matches are held every Monday and Thursday.
