Caves of Rayong Province
Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park, Rayong
Description:
The caves of Rayong Province make up a unique underground complex of 86 cave chambers in the southern part of the province. There are also multi-level waterfalls and karst lakes.
About 86 caves are located in the rocky foothills of Khao Chamao National Park - Kao Wong, north of Rayong City. In the caves laid many winding passages and compartments formed in the thickness of limestone rock. Limestone, under constant influence of groundwater and waters of the local river, rapidly descending on the rocks and forming multi-stage waterfalls, formed thousands of picturesque stalactites, stalagmites and karst columns.
Khao Chamao-Kao Wong Natural Park is not as popular as its counterparts, but its waterfalls and caves are worth a visit.
In order to get here, you need to pay about 200 baht for entering the reserve and choose the appropriate route.
