Beer bottle temple

Thailand, 400 miles from the Thai capital Bangkok, in Sisaket province, near the border with Cambodia

Description:

In Thailand, you can visit a Buddhist monastery built from beer bottles. It is called the Temple of the Million Bottles (Lan Quad). The construction of the temple took about one and a half million bottles of green and brown glass. Even a mosaic with the image of Buddha, the monks laid out from processed bottle stoppers. In addition, on the territory of the temple from this glass material were built houses, toilets and even a crematorium.

The monks are not going to stop there. The collection of bottles continues.
