Khu Khut Reserve

Moo 4, Sathing Phra, Khu Khut

Description:

The Khu Khut Reserve is a national park dedicated to the conservation of rare species of waterfowl.

Khu Khut covers an area of 90 hectares in Songhla province. It was established in 1976 by the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals. Today, the reserve is a huge area around a freshwater lake, where hunting is prohibited.

The reserve is home to 219 species of waterfowl, many rare insects and mammals. Visitors can take a walk along the shore or rent a boat and go on a trip through the waters of the lake. The most favorable period for visiting the park is the interval between December and March, when exotic species of birds fly to the lake from the north.
