Ao Tanote Beach

Ao Tanote is a place where even in the peak tourist season you can feel secluded. The 200 meters long beach is dotted with beautiful cliffs. Here, engaged in diving and snorkeling, you can see many fish and large breeds of coral. Very harsh in winter, in August the sea is quiet and calm, so in the height of the season free bungalows in nearby resorts are very difficult to find.

Located away from the crowds of holidaymakers, Ao Tanote is less deserted than relaxing. Here come those who want to relax away from the noise of white sand among palm trees or explore the underwater world.

You can get here by a very steep and only partially concrete road from Ban Mae Hat.

Right next to the beach there is a small mini-market, a massage parlor, and buses run to the city and back three or four times a day. There are also boat trips to other beaches.
