National Prehistoric Museum
About the company:
The National Prehistoric Museum is located between the airport and the railway in Taichung, Taiwan. The museum building, surrounded by a picturesque garden, was designed by New York architect Michael Graves.
The first exhibits of the museum were ancient stone artifacts and products made of jade and ceramics from the Neolithic period, which were found during the construction of a railway station near the place where the museum is now located. Today, the museum exhibits a collection of animal fossils and other ancient archaeological artifacts that tell about the history of Taiwan, from the most ancient times to our age of high technology.
There is also an exhibition dedicated to human evolution, which will appeal to all adherents of Darwin’s theory. In addition to permanent exhibitions, there are temporary and seasonal exhibitions of various themes. In the garden of the museum there is a playground, a fountain and a maze with a surprise.
The National Prehistoric Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 to 17 hours.
