About the company:
The Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts was founded on February 8, 1980, when the government decided to establish a museum. The museum’s collection includes more than ten thousand exhibits and illustrates the development of fine art in Taiwan from the Ming dynasty to the present day.
In 1999, the museum was reconstructed, thanks to which the museum is now known not only for its collections, but is famous as a very interesting example of modern architecture.
The museum building consists of a ground floor and three above-ground floors with a total area of thirty-eight thousand square meters. The visiting card of the museum is a glass overpass, which divides the museum into the eastern and western zones. The Western Zone includes permanent exhibitions A and B, focusing on Taiwan’s art history and contemporary art trends. Temporary exhibitions and an educational center are located in galleries C, D and E in the Eastern Zone.
