Akyarlar Beach

Liman Cd, 48960 Akyarlar/Mu la, Turkey

Description:

Akyarlar is a crescent-shaped bay located 15 kilometers from Bodrum. Local small-sand beaches became known to tourists only in the last few years. Before that, Akyarlar was known as a small fishing village of Kefaluka. The opening of comfortable hotels right on the coast has provided a constant influx of tourists who are fascinated by the local nature and the gentle sea.

Akyarlar Bay is immersed in emerald greenery and there are several picturesque islands near the coast. Local tangerine, pomegranate and olive gardens provide holidaymakers with fresh fruits and coolness from the summer heat.

Akyarlar has long been among the top five beaches in Turkey. The sea on the coast is shallow and ideal for relaxing with young children. In the eastern part of the bay, a rather noticeable wind blows from the cliffs, and this part of the coast was chosen by windsurfers. The rest of the rest here is very quiet and measured. Lovers of wild and secluded places it is better to go to the lighthouse on Cape Hussein, where the unusual sandy beach "Sand Bath" is located.
