Basmaine Railway Station
Description:
Basmain railway station is located in the center of the resort city of Izmir - the third most important and largest city in Turkey. At Basmaine station, mainly arrive only long-distance trains. The main long-distance directions of trains passing through Basmaine: to Isparta, to Ankara and to Denizli. For suburban trains, the second railway station of Izmir – Alsanjak is intended.
Basmaine Station has a large waiting room, buffets and several small cozy restaurants. The station building is an architecturally unique structure. It looks especially beautiful at night, when blue and white spotlights effectively illuminate its walls.
Around the station there are about 20 hotels with different prices and living conditions. One of the most comfortable hotels in the railway area is the Basmane Hotel.
