Yala Mosque

Yala Mosque in Turkey (Izmir) is located in the center of the resort town, on Konak Square, which can be reached on foot and by public transport. Built in 1754, the historical monument is a small octagonal structure, next to which there is a governor’s mansion and a clock tower. Turquoise tiles from Katahya were used to clad the walls.

A century ago, the restoration of the crumbling mosque was carried out, which attracted visitors, including local residents, numerous pilgrims, and visitors to the country. In the process of restoration of the Ottoman mosque, it was possible to restore the masonry, remake the minaret covering the dome.
