Museum of Fine Arts and Sculpture in Izmir

In 1952, a gallery of fine art and sculpture opened in the Park of Culture. In 1973, the Museum was opened in a new building on the boulevard, near the waterfront.

The museum features paintings, sculptures and ceramic works. Most of the collection belongs to the works of Turkish masters, in particular Izmir masters, but there are works by foreign sculptors and artists.

The museum has a library with a rich collection of literature on painting and art history, which is open to students and researchers. Also, there are numerous classes and courses in design, painting, ceramics, sculpture and traditional crafts, open on weekends for elementary school students.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00.
