Ortahisar Fortress
The city of Ortahisar between Goreme and Jurgup (you can get there by Goreme-Yurgup bus).
Description:
Ortahisar, or "Middle Fortress" is a monolithic rock that is located in Ortahisar - the city is named for this rock. The whole rock, like a beehive, is dotted with moves. The collapses that occurred in the rock, in some places exposed the inner rock rooms.
The rock was used as a fortress in the Roman era, but received its name later in the Seljuk period.
