Odesa

Maritime station

Description:

Odessa port is located in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. It is one of the largest ports of the Black Sea-Azov basin.

Odessa Marine Station was built in 1968 on Novy Mola. The building was designed by architects V. Kremlinkov and V. Golovin. Since then, the station building has been completely reconstructed.

Around this port, which receives up to 4 million passengers a year, there are a large number of attractions. In front of the station building there is a sculpture of Ernst Neizvestny “Golden Boy”, symbolizing good luck for people going on a sea voyage, and a monument to the “Sailor’s Wife” is installed on the station pier. Also not far from the station are the Odessa hotel complex, the exhibition complex, the marine art gallery, the Church of St. Petersburg. Nicholas and the Yacht Club.
