Old Town of Bukhara

The Old Town is the name of one of the districts of Bukhara. This is a historical part of the city, thoroughly saturated with history. Walking the streets of the old city, you seem to flip through the pages of an old chronicle. There are about 170 monuments of history and architecture, which have preserved their unique color. Among them are numerous mosques, madrassas, architectural complexes. From the Ark fortress, the road will lead you to the market, where you can buy souvenirs, carpets, products of local artisans. It is in this part that the highest minaret is located, from where, according to legend, criminals and undesirables were dropped. The Old Town is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In small restaurants you can taste local cuisine, listen to national music. You can get there by taxi or city transport.
