Samarkand - Cave of David - Samarkand

Breakfast. Transfer to the legendary cave Hazrat Daud, which is part of the most visited holy places of Samarkand. According to legend, in this cave, the biblical king David (Daud) fled from the enemies pursuing him, pushing the rocks with his hands. Hazrat-Daud is considered the patron of blacksmiths.

The cave is located in the mountains of Mirankul 40 km from Samarkand. At the foot of the mountain in a huge garden there are many places where thousands of pilgrims prepare their own food and make sacrifices. From here, you can climb to the top of the mountain by donkey or horse, but most pilgrims overcome the difficult path of 2,500 steps.
