Travel to Tajikistan: Seven Lakes

We invite you to go to sunny Tajikistan to see the edge of seven lakes - Haftkul. Picturesque lakes with turquoise water, surrounded by landscapes of the Fan Mountains, are located 40 kilometers from the small town of Penjikent.

The trip to the Seven Lakes is designed for a whole day. You will visit lakes Nezhigon, Soya, Gushor, Nofin, Khurdak, Marguzor, Khazorchashma. Each name has its own meaning, which the guide will tell you.

The total distance between the lakes is 15 km.

• The first lake - Nezhigon (" Eyelash"), an altitude of 1640 m;
• the second lake - Soya ("Shadow"), height 1701 m;
• third - Gushor ("Watchful"), height 1771 m;
• fourth - Nofin ("umbilical cord"), height 1778 m;
• fifth - Khurdak ("Baby"), height of 1870 m;
• sixth - Marguzor ("Meadow"), the largest in the entire chain of lakes, height 2140 m;
• Seventh - Hazorchashma ("Thousand springs"), height 2400 m.

The trip to the lakes lasts 4-5 hours.

The road from the first lake to the last stretches for 15 kilometers, each of the reservoirs has stops, and a full study of attractions will stretch for 4-5 hours.

In these places, unusual stories, legends and original culture have been preserved: primitive petroglyphs have been found nearby, in the Middle Ages semi-precious stones were mined here. Marguzor can be reached by car, but Khazorchashm will have to walk (optional).

In the evening we return to the border, cross it and go back to Samarkand.
