My name is Shohruh. I was born and raised in Samarkand, I work as a guide for more than 5 years, conduct individual excursions. Immediately after graduation, I started working in the field of tourism, and this direction interested me. Since childhood I have studied the history and architecture of my native land.

For me, it is important to create such a tour, which has not been in the region before, and thereby raise the bar every time. I put my soul and professionalism into all projects. Samarkand - the city of fairy tales 1001 nights

Samarkand is a legendary city on the Great Silk Road, the capital of the empire of Amir Timur.

As soon as poets and philosophers tried to name it – the garden of the soul, the pearl of the east, the mirror of the world and even the face of the earth – they could not describe the beauty and richness of this beautiful city.

Walking with me will allow you to immerse yourself in ancient eras and get a three-dimensional view of the historical monuments of the whole city. Ancient art still flourishes here and centuries-old traditions are observed, and an interesting past hides behind every turn on the old streets. In addition, you will see national costumes and finish with a dinner with national cuisine.

Samarkand and its centuries-old history.

From the very beginning of our tour, I will try to tell you in detail about how one of the oldest cities in the world arose, who ruled these lands and what heritage our ancestors left us. In addition, I will touch upon the period when the European part of our city began to form during the tsarist period and show you all the architectural structures that have survived to this day.

Main route:

• Abramovsky Boulevard – In 1871, a rather large boulevard was laid from the citadel of Amir Timur to the west, from which the streets of the new city began. It is a dividing line between the old and the new city. Boulevard with its special microclimate immediately became a favorite place for evening walks of citizens and guests of Samarkand.
• Gur-Emir Mausoleum is the family tomb of the Timurid dynasty and one of the most beautiful monuments of ancient Samarkand. In the mausoleum were buried Amir Timur, his sons, grandchildren, as well as his spiritual mentor.
• Registan Ensemble - on Registan Square, towering proud minarets of three madrassas of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilla-Kory. Registan Ensemble is the main architectural landmark of the whole Central Asia. This square has long been the commercial and public center of Samarkand.
• Mahalla - we will walk with you along the streets of the old city, get acquainted with the locals and at the same time visit the house in which our first president I. Karimov once lived.
• Lunch in a local teahouse or in a national restaurant (Samarkand pilaf, samsa made in tandyr, beef manta, shurpa - Uzbek soup or shashlyk).
• Bibi-Khanim Mosque is the largest mosque of the 15th century in Central Asia. The majestic blue domes are an extraordinary sight. The spirit is breathtaking already from the scale with which this monumental structure was built, striking in its size and beauty.
• Siab Market is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. While here, you can see and taste Samarkand cakes, dried fruits and our national sweets.
• Khazrat-Khizr Mosque and I. Karimov Mausoleum – in 2018, the mausoleum of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was opened in Samarkand on the site of the Khazrat-Khizr Mosque.
• Shahi-Zinda complex is one of the most ancient monuments of Samarkand, which was formed from the 11th to the 19th centuries. The oldest core of the ensemble is the mausoleum, which arose in the middle of the 11th century over the grave of Kusam ibn Abbas, the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad. The whole complex includes a large number of mausoleums, where the commanders, wives and sisters of Amir Timur are buried.

In addition, our ancient Samarkand is known for its craft. You will have the opportunity to visit two factories:

1. Paper factory (Konigil "Meros") - a place where silk paper is made from one-year-old branches of mulberry tree according to 8th century technologies.
2. Carpet factory (Hujum) is a factory where silk/wool carpets are manually weaved.

2. The duration of the tour is from 5 to 6 hours.
3. The cost of the tour is $ 70 (you can also pay in any currency or card).
4. Payment for entrance tickets on monuments and meals are not included in the cost of the tour.
5. I can meet you at the airport, train station, hotel or any place convenient for you.
6. The tour is usually pedestrian, but the option is possible using passenger cars and comfortable minivans with a driver (the cost is discussed when booking).
