Botanical garden
Description:
The nature of our planet is extremely harmonious. Each natural zone has its own characteristics and beauty, each region is unique and beautiful. Nowhere will you find two identical valleys, two identical streams. Millions of years have made Earth a beautiful world filled with infinite diversity of life. And sometimes we need to leave the hustle and bustle of the city, so as not to lose our connection with mother nature. This can be done without leaving the city: many cities have unique natural areas. One of these beautiful corners is the Tashkent Botanical Garden.
During the Great Patriotic War, when people were evacuated from all over the USSR to Tashkent and nearby cities, the Botanical Garden was opened in the capital of Uzbekistan on the initiative of academician Fyodor Rusanov. For more than half a century, thousands of plant species from around the world have been collected here.
Today, more than 4500 species of trees, flowers and other plants are represented in the unique natural zone of Tashkent. The Botanical Garden itself is divided into 5 parts, which correspond to the flora of Central Asia, East Asia, North America and Europe, including the natural zones of the Crimea, the Caucasus, the Far East. All this became possible thanks to the sharply continental, but still favorable climate of Uzbekistan, in which it is possible to breed plants from other climatic zones.
